What if you want to hold the itinerary by calling DL in HKG or SIN? Are you able to hold an award reservation? If yes, do you have to call the same location to get it ticketed or can you then call the US line?

They arent keen on holds but if you have status and press it a bit they will. It also helps not to have the miles in your account. The fare will be stored in SGD or HKD though so you will have to pay the taxes in those currencies if you go through with the booking. I would assume you can call any office to ticket.
