Alaska's Multiple Award Redemption Tiers = Highway Robbery! This is just another wily scheme to devalue our hard earned miles, this time in last and final area where they are still worth something, Partner Awards (sometimes, when you can find the inventory). Can you imagine how many miles they would ask for a Choice ticket to HK on Cathay? I shudder to think... I don't mind calling in multiple times or piecing together an itinerary over time, and I would love to be able to combine different carriers other than Alaska+1, but Choice for International Awards, I predict, will cause a Flyertalk Revolt against Alaska.
Before you have a heart attack, maybe go back and reread what missy said. "Choice Partner Awards" appears nowhere in her post. You're tilting at windmills.
Of course if we did get choice partner awards, the additional redemption options would be excellent. But AS probably isn't willing to pay the $ to partners for their non-Saver space, even if they allowed it.
