And there were also instances of teenagers claiming to be elite world travelers, of people claiming to be wealthy and have conections for arranging stays, and people giving information about elite status on airlines they have never (or hardly ever) flown.

If you really enjoy sifting through the dirt and mud to find the gold, enjoy. I think it'd be a whole lot easier to just prevent the dirt and mud.
