Talked to a Chase rep and he said if you want to convert your Presidential Plus MC over to the new Club Card (Visa), you DO NOT have to apply through a new application. They'll just issue you a new card and account number since it's a VISA instead of Mastercard. Reason being all Visa cards start with the number "4" and all Mastercard starts with the number "5".

I believe the "new" card is available as a Visa for new account holders, though those coverting an existing Presidential Plus have the option to keep it a MasterCard, or get the visa.
I was told, and Shannon confirmed just before that you will not get a new account number if you convert, meaning keeping the card a MC is an option.
