The 747 non-Economy+ (abbreviated on FT as E-) seats are the same as the "regular" seats on most UA aircraft, and maybe a tiny bit narrower than many domestic seats. The seat pitch is 31" both on the 747 and the domestic aircraft.
Is E+ worth the extra $$? - only you can decide. Bear in mind the E+ seat pitch on the 747 is only 34".
