We've discussed this....some of Chase premium cards with very high annuals fees do not charge foreign transaction fees; that is one of the perks of some (but not all) of their cards. For example, they have 2 saphire cards...the plain vanilla one which charges the 3% foreign transaction fee and then the premium one with extra perks including no foreign transaction fees for $85 so if you have this card, you have to do your own mental math to see if the $85 fee covers the foreign transaction fees...just under $3,000 in charges would generate $85 in fee revenue so you decide if it's worth it.
Unfortunately it's not one size fits all.
