I have been a huge fan of United for many years and I was deeply dissapointed after the build up of reaching 1 k status to find so many let downs.Feel they have every right to de value their program. I am surprised however that they continue to get the information wrong at times through reservations,Mileage plus and the internet site in which tickets are purchased.Their communication is very weak as to what a published fare really is.In the past that meant bulk,consolidator,travel industry and so on.
Now it appears it is tickets sold on their UAL website and on their reservations line.Let the buyer beware.I am one of the 1ks who fell in the trap.There response was chilling.........and that many others have complained before....Hopefully action will be taken to at least make the rules more honestly communicated
Still a good airline although my loyalty now is split from this and other similar scenarios. Cheers
