You are definitely not kidding. I really don't know why Southwest is like that. It's like the people being scanned are really slow at taking their stuff out, or the scanners are just slow, or maybe the radiation travels slower in the warped spacetime that exists there.
Even at 6am in the morning on Mondays, the lines can snake out of the terminal half way to T2.
