BTW, does that kind of ensure an empty space on a non-full flight? If someone does get put in the middle, the FA will have to move someone to get down to 4 in the row - will they split the family or move the loner?
Happened earlier this month when I was with lap child, a mom with infant was next to me, they moved the elite int the aisle somewhere else. Funny because he refused to swap with the husband a few rows back (in a middle) then got moved anyway.
What about picking the aisle in the last two rows on the same side? That way if the flight is full, you can prob ask the person in 44A to swap and get that last row. If not full, can prob get the person in 43A to swap and have the extra seat.
