In discussions with users, we've had complaints that some users are overwhelmed by having too many rate plans and room types displayed. This approach is designed to put the most popular/likely rate plans and room types first. Generally, these are the lowest costs options so I'll look into why this isn't happening. As you know, all the rates plans and room types are accessible by using the more options.

I've be very interested in the thoughts of the community on whether a long list of rate plans / room types is better or worse than a hierarchical display.

Thanks in advance.
While I agree that displaying all available rates (that are checked - AAA, Senior, Government, or Corporate along with "publicly" available rates) along with all the various room types/categories can be overwhelming. My thoughts are that the all available rates are probably more important than room categories and should be displayed if checked. Perhaps if there is "room" for more rates to be displayed, then perhaps put in Regency Club / Grand Club since that is definitely a "different category". Other "less important" categories can be "hidden" and only seen if one clicks on the "display other room choices". Even as "experts" here, for many properties, we don't necessarily know the difference between the "base", "deluxe", "corner", etc rooms and not likely to book them anyways. Perhaps that "display other room choices" link can include a statement like "ADA, View, Etc" (something like that).
