Many of the large banks charge a foreign transaction fee on all transactions taking places outside the USA so a victim of the dcc scam with a card from one of the near criminal banks will incur an additional 3% charge on top of the asinine exchange rates dcc merchants rip you off with! And in the case of a credit, they would have subtracted the 3% from the credit! So now you and othersd know just what a rip off dcc is.
During this whole saga, I've spoken with 3 Chase customer service reps and a supervisor. None of them, not one, had ever heard of dcc even when I asked them directly about it. There's a definite lack of information out there...
