20 stays? You'll naturally qualify for Platinum anyways. Is your wife an FPC member? Sign her up, and allot her ten stays (if you travel together) so she becomes Platinum, and charge five nights onto your Platinum card and you become FPC platinum.
The front desk will divide up the charges exactly how you want to pay for it. It will take some time, but it can be done.
If its' your Amex account, you can try transferring part of the balance to your wife's AE account (can be done immediately if you have a balance on your Amex points). Amex doesn't usually check the name, in which the Amex points are being transferred to AE. Perhaps this technique, if it works will get you guys over the hump.

stays. I'll probably only have about 7 seperate stays, so I'd make Premier naturally, but I wouldn't make Platinum without the PLAT5 promo.
I didn't consider transferring my MR points to her Aeroplan? I didn't know you could do that. You don't think it would raise flags with Amex to transfer to one AE account and then change the number to a different AE account?
