Both R77Roger and bbernhahl, thank you.
If given a vote, I'd vote for the aggregated list - all available rates - the "open" ones - in one place - even if it were just offered as a choice of organization. One of my biggest issues over the years has been the time it takes to search the rates. The site gets better and better at holding over search parameters from one (current) search to the next, but it still seems to take longer than it needs to. This would be one very helpful solution.
Now, I acknowledge that the overwhelming trend among suchlike - from Orbitz to Expedia to the myriad hotel sites that Kayak coughs up to OpenTable - all, in fact - is to put "Favorites" or "Hottest" etc. at the top of the first landing page. One wonders who falls for such mystically-based orderings. (Wouldn't have anything to do with sponsorship...)
Hyatt and Room77.com have an opportunity here. In Hyatt's case, there's not competition on their own booking engine - they can pay those other competitive sites for preference on theirs - so perhaps the pressure for an arbitrary list - or one driven by other than the customer's wishes - is much lower. But if Hyatt doesn't do it and Room77.com does, I'll gladly go directly to Room77.com.
