On a jetty BAA provide the means of access to aircraft, on a remote stand BA provide both steps and buses and their operators. They also need to pay for high lifts for less able passengers that they dont on jetty stands. 6 buses, 2 high lifts and a set of steps and the staffing probably cost BA more than £4.59 per pax. Perhaps a remote stand surcharge is in order

Can you imagine the reaction on here, if there was an "A10" surcharge? This place would be in total meltdown.
