One of the things that strikes me when I'm in Santiago/Valpo/Vina is that it actually doesn't feel vastly different than the US. Particular as I've stayed out in the Las Condes area both times. I feel like I'm in L.A.

Some countries/cities you can't mistake you're in a different place every moment of the day. Santiago doesn't give me that vibe at all. I feel very comfortable there.
