She and group of UC agents from SFO were at IAH for training, so they very well could've been the last to be trained. To work the UC is a closed bid for agents, so they're a dedicated staff. Perhaps they wanted all frontline ticket counter and gate agents trained before UC?
That's my guess too. In addition to being unable to help out in this LAX situation, they couldn't help me out on another issue while in IAH. I thought the best/brightest agents that knew their way around the system were in the Clubs.
