For the most part, you will get both stay and night credit for simultaneous stays in different properties, as the system isn't designed to check for that. As mentioned, of course, when the research department has occasion to review your account, it will likely be picked up and corrected.
Note that while you won't get credit for multiple simultaneous stays and nights, you do get point credit for spend on multiple rooms used in the same property simultaneously,
e.g., you book one room for you and your S.O., and another room for the kids. In that case, you are entitled to credit for one stay and 1× the number of nights you stayed. Easiest way to ensure that you get all the points is to ask FD on checkout to transfer the account from the additional rooms to your folio and then pay it in one transaction. I think that there's a limit of five rooms which can be counted on that plan. It's been discussed on FT, I just don't recall specifically right now. Perhaps someone else can fill in that piece?
