I hate to speak for someone else, but, I'm about 110% sure that the above reply is very serious. There were a ton of these types of posts during the DL/NW integration, and especially after the food service procedures were supposed to be unified, there were still many threads about this. You, having only been here since August, probably never came across this before.
Just a tad of background info: NW served from the carts in the aisles. DL served from the galley, requiring the FAs to make multiple trips back and forth. DL, supposedly experimented with the NW concept, and the DL procedure prevailed. This will partially explain my post above.
