Gnopps, the requirements of the most straight route is not smth new. It's sad that the airline doesn't want to make an exception for you, but not surprisingly, as CSA now has been trying to limit opportunities to redeem miles with partners.

Try to call them and ask about the route:
HEL-SVO SU
SVO-ICN KE
ICN-HNL and v.v.

This route could work (as you say it's written in the rules Pacific flights to HNL are allowed), coz there is now such obvious flights 1500 km to west and back in the same ticket (HEL-CDG-ICN).
