The announcement was Transcons would be the first to provide the seats for sale (LAX/SFO-JFK) for the reason that they would be certain to have EC. However they have announced plans to roll out EC to the rest of the fleet but I can't remember a specific timeframe. So far I've had a 757 and A319 with EC. The leg room is actually fairly noticeable, I don't know if I would pay for it but it's a nice option.
