Not really true... Both A3 and AP gives 50% miles on Tango fare. *BUT* you only need 20k to be *G in A3 FFP. With AP, still require 35k and optionally you get *G.
And if you don't mind flying UA (crap Y seats, going thru US), still earn you 100%.
