It has always been the same

I believe that it actually has always been the same and will continue to be in the future. In all of my years of flying I have always been aware of, yes, even the emergency lights on each flight and the reasons to keep a seat belt on in calm waters. I would never be any more casual about flying than I am each time I put a key in the ignition of my car.

Nothing has really changed for me except for my sadness at the senseless lose of life of our fellow travelers and humanity in NY and DC. I will continue to fly and continue to enjoy the freedom that has been paid for by so many in our past. There is a price to be paid for freedom and if it ever becomes my turn to “ante-up”, I would prefer it to be like our brothers on UA93, than at the hands of a cell phone wielding driver on I635.

Many of us take naps along the road of life. This is yet another wake up call.
