I purchased trial preferred in Jan 2011. Flew 10K miles in 90 days so I qualified for Silver. I was 3k miles short of qualifying again this year for Silver so my status is gone. My question is, how strict are they on repurchasing the trial preferred status again? I know it says that if you don't qualify in the year, you can't purchase. Is that rule held up? Any other way to get the status? I will be flying 25k-30k miles in the next few months on US.
