I disagree with deleting old threads with no recent traffic as there is still relevant information in there that can be searched. There are also several with comedic, historical and sentimental value (9/11 post, as an example) that I would not want to see disappear.
At the same time, I would have no issue with moving all of them over and closing down the sub forums.
