It's real, real hard to be a United customer these days.
I can almost guarantee you that you should be higher on the list than #5 as it is quite evident that sometime within the 24 hour window previous to your flight, not only were you not put on the upgrade list, but your RPU wasn't detected as being a criteria for being above UDU's.
Happened to me yesterday and a 1K res agent confirmed it, but couldn't override the list ---and I don't mean upgrading me either, I mean getting me in the right place on the list since I was trying to upgrade with the support of a CR1 applied 11 months ago.
This is almost my last flight for the rest of the year as I will qualify for 1K with about 3 round trips to Bronco games in the fall. I can't handle this game anymore, and hopefully this will be straightened out by 1/1/2013, when I plan on starting to fly regularly again, hopefully to a few Mile High play off games.
