FWIW I had a similar issue earlier this week. Put a SNA-DFW r/t on hold then purchased it the next morning. 12 hours later 'My Reservations' still showed it was on hold and not purchased. Called EXP desk and the agent mentioned there was a known issue causing delays. Put me on hold for a few minutes and came back telling me it was now purchased and ticketed.
