You would need to compose the itinerary leg by leg. It is usually very hard to find award seats from JNB to MQP. When you search on the UA website, you have to use the old code NLP instead of MQP. If you search on ANA's website, you should use MQP. The easiest way to find award seats is via Europe (LHR, FRA, or ZRH) on SA, LH, or LX. You can also try direct SA from JFK or IAD. Once you piece the itinerary together on UA or ANA, then you have to call. Good luck!

I'm planning a trip to Kruger and Cape Town next spring and want to use my UA miles in C. When I enter MQP as my destination nothing shows up, but UA has the code for the old Nelspruit. Again, nothing shows up. Has anyone had any experience booking UA award travel to MQP? Is this something that can only happen over the phone? I'm hesitant to call UA now with the high call times.
