Agreed 100%. What do I care what the money goes towards? It's a fare, plain and simple.
It is complete horsecrap that I can use my AE points to pay for other aspects of the fare including labour, maintenance, marketing, insurance, employee pensions, etc. yet fuel is cash only, on top of the "fare"?
