On the very bottom of the VS page you linked, in the terms, under 'Spending Miles,' it states, "No one way rewards permitted." Bummer.

I'm very curious how this plays out as well. In particular, I'm wondering if routings are allowed that are not specifically listed on that page and, if so, how they are priced. As an example, SAN-SEA via SFO.

Is VS pricing by segment, a la the new BA Avios approach? Or would such a ticket be viewed as SAN-SEA for mileage pricing purposes.

I also find it curious that on the VS USA website, there are no details as to routes and required miles for redemption tickets. Perhaps they don't want to encourage US-based passengers to take advantage of this redemption option? Or more of an oversight?
