On 3/10 Skymiles Shopping sent out the following email:

Earn 2 Miles Per Dollar at Apple Store!
That's DOUBLE the Miles now through 11:59PM EST 3/15/12.


I immediately reviewed the T&C from the link in the email on the Skymiles Shopping site and pre-ordered the new iPad along with the Apple Care 2 year warranty. The Skymiles for the Apple Care warranty posted quickly to my account but the miles for the iPad didn't show. This week I sent 2 emails to Skymiles Shopping along with a copy of the invoice asking what happened to my miles for the iPad. Their agent wrote back the following which needless to say was not in the T&C.

I am very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. The reason you did not receive miles for the purchase of the iPad 3 is because pre-orders on this item are not eligible for miles. I do see that since the iPad 3 was released the terms and conditions do not include this information anymore, however, on the date of purchase those were the terms and conditions.

I don't have to tell you that I was furious as what this agent said was not in the T&C link and wrote back stating so and demanding my miles be credited.

Did anyone else have a similar experience and what was the outcome?
