I'm looking to use miles for a JFK-ICN trip later this year. I had a few questions:

1. Am I right in thinking that my only OneWorld options are with routing via NRT? (for a Asia Zone 1 award)

2. Now that AA doesn't have any JFK-NRT metal, I presume I would have to find award availability on JAL, correct?

3. While there are many NRT-ICN flights with JAL, I noticed that a number of them are Korean Air codeshares. Will I be able to get a seat on these with an award ticket, or can I only use JAL metal?

4. Lastly, is the best site to check JAL reward inventory simple JAL.com?
