Here's a few examples of my recent upgrades as a GM:
DL1649 Depart: 2/09 10:00pm EST - Upgrade: 2/5 6:06pm EST (4d 7h)
DL1780 Depart: 3/18 11:40pm PST - Upgrade: 3/14 3:30pm PST (4d 8h)
DL1988 Depart: 3/20 7:36pm EST - Upgrade: 3/16 6:15pm EST (4d 1h)
DL6016 Depart: 3/22 8:35am EST - Upgrade: 3/18 5:41pm EST (3d 15h)

All of them have been clearing around 3-ish pm pacific time, regardless of actual flight departure time. They've also been beyond 3 days, usually closer to 4 days. I think others usually get their window +1 day as the clearance time.

It's no guarantee, but I think it's safe to assume that DM's are clearing closer to 6 days out than 5 days.
