Just having a conversation with a coworker and we were wondering how the upgrade clearing timing works. For Plats, for example, assuming there's V availability, do the auto upgrades clear at flight time (local time per departure city) T-5 days out or does it happen at a predetermined time (like AS does at midnight)?

My flight is at 4.39PM on Sunday so I'm wondering if Platinums/Diamonds have already cleared, meaning I have a shot at the few open V seats as a Gold when Thursday rolls around (assuming no other Plats/Diams book between now and then).
