This seems unlikely because DL avoided the MD-90s with the new cockpits (same as the 717). It would be a huge expense for a large fleet over 20 years old.

As for the former YX 717s, it would make sense for DL to try to grab those too. According to Wikipedia, some of the former YX 717s were leased to MexicanaClick, the low-cost subsidiary of Mexicana, which ceased operations in 2010.
