I usually have my TA book my tickets and I always get the 1s. This weekends flight I did it myself... and even thought the BA site didn't ask me for my seat preference, it showed as my favorite seat automatically... I guess they know what their clients like...

I think they leave the 1's for last minute passengers like me.
