Obviously most folks 'round these parts are addicted to points, in one form or another. It is my opinion that quite a few members just post for posting's sake, as to rack up more points. This goal to gain more points may be the cause or spark to many un-needed posts, even flames. I do not know how much these numbers are cherised by others, but we may see less and less useless or 'war' posts if FlyerTalk would just remove the post-count. I understand the post-count may encourage membership numbers and/or return 'customers', but it may indeed weed out those who are in it, again, for posting's sake and retain those who are indeed dedicated to travel. Just a thought, right or wrong.
