Edmonton (YEG) Smashing It's Passenger Records

Good for the folks up in Edmonton... I don't see this being related to the expansion at all, since they haven't seen any new flights. Just minor route adjustments. Actually, United has been reducing frequecy and size of aircraft out of YEG; except on the IAH routes. Code Shares with UAL and AC have also been successful lately of routing all northern passengers through YYC not through YEG to maintain YYC hubbing strength.

EIA smashing passenger records

The old adage "if you build it, they will come" is ringing true for the Edmonton International Airport.

The EIA is reporting a record in passenger service, just a month after opening it's terminal expansion.

Between January and February of 2012, the EIA has served close to 1.1 million customers.
That's up about 90,000 people from the same time in 2011.

Sarah Meffen with the airport says everybody is all smiles with what's happening at the EIA.
