Like you said, it was cheap, cheapest by a longshot given that I have built an itinerary entirely made up of one ways. And while intra-Asia BKK-PVG was dire, PVG-LAX was surprisingly OK and I even watched a cheesy French film that I missed when it came out (I am positive I was the only one watching it.)
