When this happens to me, i politely have asked the flight attendant if it's possible to tell the captain to cool it down a little bit or warm it up - 10 out of 10 they accommodate.

ADDITION: Just realized you DID ask them to fix the temperature...and they didn't do it? Wow. Especially at 83 degrees!
