No unfortunately it is the Virgin Flying club who are telling me they cannot book these flights for me - i suspect i could get them to book the onward to Queenstown using miles as it is a Virgin Australia flight (they said not if a revenue ticket, and ideally i wouldn't use up miles on that trip), but certainly not the return ANZ flight which is the one that is really messing up the trip unfortunately as there is no option but to overnight in Sydney which we didn't want to have to do....i am now exploring a totally different approach whilst waiting to hear back from ANZ about if there is anything they can do to help......!
