I just recalled something interesting that may be related.
I recently travelled somewhere and my outbound trip was 3 legs and my return was 2. When I arrived at my destination the three legs had posted to my Skymiles account. When I checked the postings from my return the outbound segments had vanished. They were there and then they were gone. I had them reinstated and the agent that took care of it had no explination as to why they had vanished. The agent did see that they had originally posted and then been removed.
I wonder if this is a new automated practice?
I have an upcoming trip that is more than 2 segments in each direction. I was able to find a very cheap fare with available seats in the class I needed with this routing. I wonder if my reservation is going to be cancelled?
