They can't do that if the flight causes a conflict with other flights in the same itinerary. If you're other travel arrangements were done separately, I don't think this argument will work.

Anyway, as Keyser asked, how much earlier does the new flight leave? If the Indigo flight time change is large enough, I think you might be allowed to cancel your ticket and get a refund.
