Hello All!

I am a newbie who has gone through 46 pages of this thread I am trying to understand this very interesting concept of FD'ing. I admit I have not had any success yet with getting a working 3x, neither have I understood all the archaic terms floating around in this 2000+ page thread. However, looking at it from a newbie perspective, i can recommend a few things to get other newbies started :

1) Get your basic knowledge on air-fares

There is a nice document posted on MP that I came across, which while lengthy, explains a lot of basic concepts of ticketing. I would focus on the Combinability section

2) Understand the fundamentals of FD'ing.

Again, I found a nice FAQ primer on MP which explains some of the basic terms and concepts. Go through it and make sure you read all the comments as well.

3) Practice!

Read through the entirety of this thread (YES, it's mind numbing!) and take copious notes. Then use the suggested tools and do your own combinations.

I don't have any other gold nuggets to offer, but just thought I would pass on what I have learned so far.
