I have that same mesmerized reaction to the AC video every time! And, like you, I have it memorized (but that just seems to add to my enjoyment). The video is the perfect combination of special effects, ugly clothing, calming color hues and soundtrack, and humor (here I'm specifically referring to the moment when they demonstrate attaching your mask before helping someone with theirs. The poor child that they stick the mask on... It's way too big on her, and even though nearly her entire face is covered, you can clearly see that she is wavering between hysterical laughter and hysterical fear. Both of which seem to say "Okay, guys, time to get this thing off my face. The residuals you're paying me are not enough for this humiliation. I mean you couldn't get a kid with a face that wouldn't be swallowed up by the damn mask?"). The plane has this misty look, which, in real life, would be cause for concern, but not here! It just adds to the soap opera glamour. Then, of course, there's the robotic calmness with which the male actor inflates his vest and prepares to exit the plane, the businessman in smart glasses stowing his luggage in the bin where a camera has been cleverly mounted, the little beams of light coming out of the portable electronic devices. But my favorite part, the crowning moment at which I look up from my book, window, lap, whatever, EVERY TIME: the look on the brunette lady's face when she takes her seat when the seat belt light comes on. She refastens her belt and closes her eyes, not with the look of someone about to experience severe turbulence, but with the look of a woman that's sinking into a hot bubble bath after a long day in paradise. Ahh, the best. (And her brown pants are exquisitely hideous, I love it).
I'm also a fan of Patton Oswalt's take on a flight safety video, starting at 3:00

By far the worst video I've seen was on a LOT flight (but the fact that it was the worst in many ways bumps it up to being one of the most memorable and therefore the best). They didn't really have screens, so it was projected onto the bulkhead. It looks like a School House Rock cartoon, and some of the translations are a bit weird. You can see it here:

(I once wrote an essay comparing the AC and LOT videos... Don't ask).
