Yeah, I was SQ Gold for a couple of years when I put my miles towards *A, and I always resented SQ for dumping the *A Golds in a separate glorified holding pen. I think the word "lounge" is probably a bit too generous.
CX Silver has great benefits for 30K miles - one of the best entry level tiers out there. I can tell you from experience that at 25K miles, SQ Silver is a nothing tier. You get better benefits as CX Green than SQ Silver.
+1 to the CX GR > SQ SL !
really cant complain when getting lounge access in both HKG and other airports as CX SL. Though the threshold to move from SL to GO is quite high compared to other FFP.
