KE transfer is not instant but about a week (?) but both DC and KE account's name must match. My first transfer KE experience was exception that I was allowed to transfer to mom's account. KE has a direct flight out of ORD so that would be preferable for your parents. Just watch out for peak dates (9.28 ~ 10.3 this year).
