Of course it's reasonable to give LatinPass time to verify that the flights were not credited to another program. That's common sense. But consider two things:
1. LatinPass said that the miles would be credited immediately. This was not just a mistake by one telephone representative to one caller, but the standard reply given to many, if not most, of the people who called the Service Center. It would be extreme to hold them to "immediate" posting but there certainly was the message that it could be done within a few days' time.
2. The airlines' individual frequent flyer programs are closely tied in with LatinPass. A Saeta flight, for example, can be credited to one of two places: a LatinPass generic account, or a Saeta account. I'm not aware of any other partners. So it shouldn't be terribly difficult to determine if such a flight had been credited already.
