At least you reported the card missing, as the ATM may have been "trapped" to take your card. It's not a good idea to use an ATM / cash machine in some places whilst the institution is closed for business.

Hopefully not, but these traps are easy to make and easier to conceal.

As for cash advances on your card, you are talking about a high interest rate (not the same as for purchases) and a forex fee, though using the Capital One does avoid the latter if it's a forex-free one.
