You can do SYD/MEL as POT, which will allow you to do both Europe and AKL because it stretches the MPM to over 12000 miles and YYZ-Europe-SIN-Australia is a published SQ routing (which MPM rules do not apply).
YYZ-AKL MPM5% is 10945 and my understanding attempts by FTers to do AKL-NRT-YYZ was not possible (11887 miles).
Considering that China is even further west of Japan, it will be highly unlikely work. vs YYZ AKL @ 10945
