Hi,

A friend is connecting at EWR from an international flight to a domestic flight. How is checked baggage handled at customs? I think you have to claim your bag after arriving, but where or how to you give it back to the airline for your next flight? Do you have to go to the counter in the terminal and check it in for the next flight, or is there a place to do it after leaving customs?
